Parent Visits

Originally posted on October 9, 2010.

Gotta catch up on the last few weeks! BOTH sets of parents visited, starting with mine! It was great to see them-- they hadn't been here since Thanksgiving. They stayed at the Courtyard Marriott by the river and we spent a lot of time just sitting on the balconey. You don't get those views from our house. We had breakfast at the Lost Dog Cafe on Folly and it was great--my mom loved the dog pictures and breakfast was really good. I love their smoked salmon bagel sandwich. Makes me want breakfast at 5:00 on a Saturday.

We spent the rest of the day shopping downtown and we had dinner out at Isle of Palms. On Sunday, we started the day with rain and we thought all was lost. Thankfully, it dried out and we got some pool time and then went downtown for some shopping on King Street. We had a great time talking in person instead of on the phone!

The next weekend, Eddie's parents came to town after being in Asheville for a wedding. We walked all over downtown Charleston, from East Bay to the market all the way down to the Battery. My feet were definitely hurting, but the views at the Battery were worth it! In the water picture, you can see Eddie's and my shadows. :)
